August Prayer Focus

PLEASE PRAY   CPC humbly requests your intentional prayer for:

BANQUET UNDERWRITERS   We are excited about the upcoming Annual Benefit Banquet, yet we face a huge goal. Please pray that 100% of the expenses for the banquet will be covered by faithful friends who love and believe in this ministry. This goal will enable 100% of the donations received the night of the event to directly benefit CPC.

HARD CASES   Some of the most heartbreaking cases in our clinics and centers are clients seeking help after being victimized by rape. Please remember these women in prayer. Also, pray for our advocates who minister to these clients and their families.

NEW STAFF   More than 250 dedicated volunteers donate their time and talents across South Hampton Roads to serve CPC’s ministry. Please pray for our new volunteer coordinator, Lori, as she prepares to encourage and serve alongside so many motivated supporters of LIFE.

PRAY FOR CPC’S EXPECTANT MOTHERS AND THEIR LITTLE ONES.   Their names* and due dates are listed below.
*Some of the names have been changed to protect the identities of our clients.

Tebowmania: Another Way To Give

Dear friends,
It’s another “Tebowmania!” That’s the best way to describe the response of our community since announcing that Pam Tebow will join us as the keynote speaker at CPC’s Annual Benefit Banquet this October. Each year, the banquet room quickly fills to capacity, and we anticipate it happening even sooner this year.

We are excited about this event, yet we face a huge goal to meet by September 1. It is our prayer to have 100% of the expenses for the banquet covered by the faithful friends who love and believe in this ministry. This goal will enable 100% of the donations received the night of the event to directly benefit the life-saving ministry of Crisis Pregnancy Center of Tidewater.

Will you help us reach this goal?
The Annual Benefit Banquet is the largest and most crucial fundraiser for CPC, a ministry committed to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and helping save the precious lives of pre-born children in South Hampton Roads. As CPC continues to reach a record number of women and witness a record number of lives being saved, the needs of the ministry grow greater. To put it simply, we can’t do this without you.
Would you prayerfully consider donating to help cover the expenses of this year’s banquet? Your underwriting investment multiplies into an even larger blessing when our banquet guests are able to contribute directly to the mission and ministry of the CPC. Please visit http://www.cpcfriends.org/banquet, or complete the response card enclosed in the letter you may have received to help us reach this goal!
Thank you for your love and support of CPC, and for prayerfully considering this event and this request. If you have any questions, please call 757.410.9703 to speak with a member of our Development Team.
For LIFE with you,

Real Life: Shantae's Story

Sixteen months ago, Shantae began her journey with The Keim Centers. During these months, Shantae has attended parenting classes, Bible studies, and lived life with her advocate. Shantae and her daughter, Sha’Niyah, are actual clients.  Their names and likenesses have not been changed. Shantae attended multiple Walk for Life events this spring and wants to tell her story. We are honored to share her thoughts as made known to CPC during a recent email interview.

Before you visited The Keim Centers, what was going through your mind regarding your pregnancy?

At first, I was scared. I was afraid of raising her on my own. I was a little hurt because I did not want her to go through what I went through growing up. I feared not having a place to stay because I had been out of work. I also feared not being able to take care of her the way she needed. It brings tears to my eyes still. But through it all, I never thought about abortion because a life is a blessing.

What made the most impact on you during your time at the center?

The people made the most impact on me. They cared and they had a relationship with the Lord. No one ever treated me like I was nothing. Also no one ever told me I made a mistake for getting pregnant or for wanting to keep her.

When I first saw my daughter on the ultrasound and saw her little heart beating, I fell more in love.  (I didn’t know she was a little girl at the time, but I still was in love.)  When she was born I never knew I could love something or someone so much – she taught me what real love is and how it feels.

My advocate was and still is the best. She has been there for me right from the beginning and is still there if I need her. I can talk to her about anything and she also prays for me and with me. I love her and all the staff.

Now I'm expecting my second child. I really grateful for what The Keim Centers have done for me and my babies – without them I think I would be a nervous wreck. I would tell any young girl or women about the center. It’s a great place to get help. I was truly blessed to have them. Thank you.

Please continue to pray for Shantae and her family!

OCTOBER BABY: "Art Imitating Life"

Within a Christian-made movie that WORLD Magazine touts as “polished” is a true-to-life story of healing.

“When producer/directors Jon and Andrew Erwin asked Shari Rigby to consider a small but crucial role in their film October Baby, none of them realized how closely the script about a young woman who discovers she survived an abortion attempt paralleled Rigby’s own life.”

CPC truly believes EVERY LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL.

Plan to join us on Friday, July 27, for a special summer fund-raising event featuring the life-affirming film, OCTOBER BABY. Learn more, purchase tickets and pre-register for free childcare* at www.cpcfriends.org/octoberbaby.
