The final Walk is here!

We have been thrilled to Walk for Life with so many supporters this month, and we’re excited to join with even more this Saturday at The Virginia Zoo in Norfolk.

Are you coming?

The Walk for Life is such a special time of year to celebrate with clients and their babies, and recognize the need for rescue of innocent lives from the tragedy of abortion.  It’s not too late to get involved – here’s how!

You can help us reach the goal of 1,000 sponsored walkers in 2011 - we are so close!  You can still join usregister online today!  We accept pledges after the final Walk event, and you can also sponsor yourself.

Unable to join us this year?  You can still support CPC’s ministry to local women and families through your financial donation!  Every dollar counts.  Just $50 will help provide one hour of ministry services to our clients, including ultrasound, medical consultation, pregnancy tests, options counseling, education and much more.  Want to invest in a life?  Donate today!

We appreciate all support, and we are so thankful for hearts sensitive to the need to rescue innocent lives!  This year, you can make a significant impact on lives through the life-affirming ministry of CPC!

Every Client Receives A Bible!

CPC staff members Yvonne Mackey
and Nigel Anderson display just a few of
the Bibles donated for our clients.
Thanks to generous donations from community members and LifeWay Christian Stores, we have received enough Bibles to distribute to each of our clients at The Keim Centers!  What a blessing!  We are thrilled at each opportunity we have to share the Gospel with our clients. Now we can provide educational tools to not only help our clients during their pregnancy, but also during their spiritual growth.

If you are interested in providing Bibles to pregnancy resource centers such as CPC of Tidewater, visit a local LifeWay Christian Store to learn more!

Volunteer Spotlight: Tracey Sanders

Did you know that almost every photo you see in CPC’s materials is an actual client – NOT a purchased stock photo?  After talking with one of The Keim Centers’ nurse managers at church, Tracey Sanders’ heart was touched by CPC’s ministry.  In 2008, Tracey photographed the Walk for Life at The Virginia Zoo and began sharing her gifts with CPC.  Since then, Tracey has photographed numerous clients and many events for CPC.

“I was probably like many people, who didn’t think much about abortion, although I have always been pro-life,” Tracey said.  The statistics I have learned about abortions are staggering.  I can’t un-know what I now know.  I believe God always has a plan.  I am excited to see how God will use me to His glory through this ministry.”

After “retiring” from mechanical engineering to stay home with her two children (pictured at left), Tracey’s interest in photography developed into a new career.  She continually puts everyone on the other side of her camera at ease.  To see more of Tracey’s work, visit Thank you, Tracey, for blessing us with your talents!

Life-Affirming Speakers Available!

Throughout the year, we thoroughly enjoy opportunities to connect with our local community.  Meeting with friends of the ministry – and others who may not even know ministries like CPC exist – is always a blessing to us.
Last week, CPC staff members spoke during several church services across South Hampton Roads.  Thank you for sharing your morning with us and letting us worship with you!
This Sunday (April 3, 2011), Toby DeBause, President of Crisis Pregnancy Center of Tidewater, is excited by another opportunity to present a life-affirming message.  He is continuing the Walk for Life momentum at Virginia Beach Community Chapel, where he will present the message in both morning services!

Service times are 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

If you can join us, before or after services at your church, we'd love to see you there!

Looking for a speaker at your church or group?  Let us know – we’d love to share more about CPC and connect with you!
