June Prayer Focus

PLEASE PRAY   CPC humbly requests that you pray for the following:

NEW MEDICAL CLINIC IN VIRGINIA BEACH   In the next few weeks, we plan to move into the new medical clinic in Virginia Beach. Please keep this transition in prayer. Pray for our entire staff as we work together to open this new medical clinic so we are able to minister to more clients.

HEALING   Our volunteers become family. They join with us in ministry and give out of the abundance of their heart. They faithfully invest in the lives of women in crisis while many times they are going through incredibly difficult times as well. Please pray for two of our volunteers who have sons battling for life. Join us as we ask the Lord for His perfect healing, comfort and peace for these families.

FIRST-TIME FATHERS   Please pray for our clients who are celebrating their first Father’s Day. We pray for these dads to have strength and commitment in raising their new babies. Pray for more dads to attend the Great Expectations parenting class and make decisions for Christ.

PRAY FOR CPC’S EXPECTANT MOTHERS & THEIR LITTLE ONES.   Their names* & due dates are listed below.

Recommendation: Deny Planned Parenthood Expansion

Planned Parenthood Newtown Medical Center
under construction in 2010
On Thursday, the Virginia Department of Health released a recommendation to deny Planned Parenthood’s request to add two operating rooms to its Newtown Road clinic.

Why is this denial so important?
If the proposal would have passed, our local Planned Parenthood facility would be allowed to perform abortions past the first trimester.

Erin Zabel, Planned Parenthood’s Director of Marketing and Public Relations, told The Virginian-Pilot that Planned Parenthood hasn’t yet decided whether to pursue the application further.  The final decision from the state health commissioner is likely later this year.

Planned Parenthood’s new abortion facility opened last summer in Virginia Beach, and we have known that moving to a more strategic location is even more critical now that Virginia Beach has two locations that perform abortions.  The new location of our medical clinic will position us to reach women facing crisis pregnancies better than both of the abortion clinics in Virginia Beach.  We are grateful that God allows this ministry to continue to grow.  We trust that it is for His glory and the good of moms and their babies in this community.

May Prayer Focus

PLEASE PRAY   CPC humbly requests that you pray for the following:

NURSE MANAGER FOR NEW MEDICAL CLINIC   At the Walk for Life 2011, we were thrilled to introduce our nurse manager for the new medical clinic in Virginia Beach. Please keep her in prayer. She has begun training that will continue throughout the month as she transitions into her new role. We also appreciate prayers for the rest of our staff as we open this new medical clinic and seek to reach more clients.

CLIENTS COMMITTED TO LIFESTYLE CHANGES   In this Easter season of rebirth, please pray for our clients who have committed to changing their lifestyle. Pray these women and men will believe that God values and loves them, and that they will depend on God to strengthen them and their sexual integrity.

NEW MOTHERS   Please pray for our clients who are celebrating their first Mother’s Day. We pray these moms continue to find joy and encouragement in their new role. Please also pray these women find godly mentors to help them with life skills and parenting decisions.

PRAY FOR CPC’S EXPECTANT MOTHERS & THEIR LITTLE ONES.   Their names* & due dates are listed below.
