April Prayer Focus

2012 Walk for Life
PLEASE PRAY   CPC humbly requests your intentional prayer for:

2012 WALK FOR LIFE   We are praying for 1,000 individuals to partner with CPC’s ministry as sponsored walkers during this year’s Walk for Life. As the Love Revolution continues to grow, we boldly ask for more sponsored walkers to raise funds to save more lives from the tragedy of abortion.

CLIENT OUTREACH   Please pray for God to bless our efforts to reach women facing a crisis pregnancy. Our prayer is for women to connect with CPC as we continue to invest time and resources in online and mobile phone marketing.

NEW LIFE   As the new life of spring surrounds us, it is a beautiful reminder to continually pray for mothers with new life growing inside of them. Pray that as the good news of the gospel is presented to them, the promise of eternal new life found in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be received.

PRAY FOR CPC’S EXPECTANT MOTHERS AND THEIR LITTLE ONES.   Their names* and due dates are listed below.
*Some of the names have been changed to protect the identities of our clients.

October Baby: A Movie Benefitting LIFE!

October Baby
Last weekend, October Baby opened in only 390 movie theaters nationwide, yet earned the second highest per-screen average, bringing in almost $2 million in ticket sales.

October Baby follows the journey of Hannah, a young woman who learns she was adopted ... after a failed abortion attempt.  In the midst of her incredible journey, Hannah finds that life can be so much more than what you have planned.

This small-budget film is making a big impact.  In addition to sharing a positive, life-affirming message with a large audience, the producers of October Baby have assigned 10% of the profits of the movie to the Every Life is Beautiful Fund, which will distribute funds to organizations helping women facing crisis pregnancies, life-affirming adoption agencies, and those caring for orphans.

October Baby is currently showing in multiple theaters across Hampton Roads.  To learn more and book a ticket online, visit

Sarah's Story

Sarah and her husband came to The Keim Centers pregnant, out of work, and filled with fear. The couple had already visited an abortion provider, but was $20 short and could not complete the procedure. The Keim Centers were their last resort for help.

“I had my mind made up before I walked in the door that I was ending the pregnancy,” Sarah said. “I didn’t see any hope.”

After reading her positive pregnancy test results, Sarah met with a nurse and received an ultrasound.

“They gave me a sonogram and it was a baby. The blindfold was off. It was a baby. It was a life.”

When she saw the fully formed baby inside of her, Sarah was moved to tears of joy and asked the nurse to write “I’m here to stay” on their copy of the ultrasound image. Equipped with truth, the couple made a decision for LIFE.

“The Keim Center made me feel very comfortable. They talked to me like I was a person. The [advocate] took my hand, looked me in the eyes and told me that through Christ anything is possible. And that is true.”

In June, Sarah gave birth to a healthy baby boy, Gavin. She reconnected with The Keim Centers for practical support and opened herself to learning more about the Gospel. Shortly thereafter, Sarah made a personal commitment to Jesus Christ.

“I invited the Lord into my heart, and I gave up my will and my life to Him. He’s been knocking on my heart for a long time and I finally answered.”

Sarah continues to grow in her relationship with the Lord, sharing that she now sees God has always been working in her life. She is currently attending a new Christians class and will be baptized in a few weeks. Despite numerous challenges in her life, Sarah knows the joy of the Lord.

“Even though God did not promise my life will be all better after I came to know Him, I can see that it has improved.”

Letter From The President

Dear Friends,

You’ve probably noticed from past newsletters and other writings that we typically spell the word “LIFE” with all capital letters. Within this ministry, the word “LIFE” is so packed full of meaning we believe it deserves all caps.

CPC defends the LIFE of the pre-born child, impacts the LIFE of the mother and her family, and promotes LIFE to the fullest through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. “LIFE” is the biggest little word in this ministry’s vocabulary.

This ministry is full of LIFE!

I hope you are as encouraged as I am about the record number of women and families served by CPC’s ministry and the commitments made to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in 2011. Together, through Christ, we can continue to defend, impact and promote LIFE. We cherish your prayers and support as God extends His grace through this ministry.

For LIFE with you,

Toby DeBause, President
