June Prayer Focus

PLEASE PRAY   CPC humbly requests your intentional prayer for:

SUMMER EVENT   CPC is making plans for a new fund-raising event this summer to help offset recent donation shortfalls. Please join us in going before the Lord to seek guidance and wisdom in this planning process. Pray this event would bring glory to His name and much needed support for the life-affirming ministry at CPC.

VOLUNTEERS   In May, 27 new volunteers began training to serve in numerous areas of CPC’s ministry. Please pray for these individuals to be trained quickly and effectively.

COURAGEOUS MOVIE NIGHT   CPC is hosting a movie outreach event for the men involved with the women we serve. Please pray for strong attendance! Also, pray for hearts to open to the Gospel and mentor relationships. Several men’s groups from local churches have volunteered to make themselves available as mentors. This is a very important night - we covet your prayers!

Thank you for Walking for Life!

LOVE never fails was the theme echoed at each of the Walk events just a few weeks ago.  We were all touched as clients shared their personal stories of how the love received through CPC’s ministry made a real difference in their lives and the decision of life for their pre-born babies. 

The funds raised in the Walk for LIFE provide the services and resources needed to love these women and families well.  Thank you to everyone who participated – we are so grateful so many chose to join us in the Love Revolution!  God was honored, LIFE was valued and ministry funds were raised.

To date, a total of 717 sponsored walkers joined together to raise more than $160,000 in pledges and donations.  This support enables the Lord’s work to continue as we love families in crisis and seek to impact more lives in 2012.

We are already looking forward to sharing new stories of lives forever changed thanks to God’s grace through your support!

As Americans, we are blessed with the right and duty to participate in our democracy.  We are a nation founded on “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness,” and as responsible citizens, it is important to educate ourselves about candidates and issues that will affect our country and community.

Volunteer Spotlight: Dianne Myrick

Dianne Myrick has a passion and love for CPC’s ministry that is evident in her amazing commitment and willingness to go above and beyond. Although she is a nurse and runs pregnancy tests in several of the centers, Dianne really shines at the front desk – answering the phone and staying calm even when she has a difficult call. She works quietly and efficiently making labels, filing folders and anything else that is required to keep the front office running smoothly. Dianne has repeatedly stepped up when there is a need and ministers faithfully in her own quiet, humble, gentle way – armed with a quick smile and great sense of humor. Thank you, Dianne, for the joy you bring to our Lord through this ministry!

Cute Kid Alert!

Stephen and Stephanie McHenry, dedicated volunteers to CPC’s ministry, felt the Lord pressing on their hearts to do more to help save lives and spare hearts from the great tragedy of abortion. After spending time in prayer, the McHenry’s answered this call by tripling a financial gift they had planned to give CPC.

That same week, they received their copy of Family magazine. Months earlier, the McHenry’s had entered their daughter, Abigail, into the magazine’s Cute Kid Contest. Despite the odds of this national competition, Abigail was named the contest winner. But what affirmed the family even more was that the first prize winnings equaled the same amount as their gift to CPC.

Stephanie shared, “We are so thankful it ended up being a story where GOD gets the glory!”
