Who do you pray with?

CPC's Prayer Gathering for LIFE
"For where two or three gather in my name, there I am with them." Matt. 18:20

God is moving through the ministry of CPC, and we're eager to join forces with His people in prayer.

One mom's group let us know they plan to come pray after their kids are asleep, and then fellowship together over a late night dinner out afterwards. Another family shared they are excited to set their alarm for 2 a.m. and come pray for a cause dear to their heart. We are looking forward to seeing the creative ways God will inspire prayer!

Who will you invite to help push back the darkness? There is great value in sharing your passion for LIFE in a face-to-face conversation. Let us know on
Facebook or by email -- you may inspire someone else to help spread the word in a new way! See full details at www.cpcfriends.org/prayer

Pushing Back The Darkness: 24 Hours of Prayer

Pushing Back The Darkness: 24 Hours of Prayer | Crisis Pregnancy Center of Tidewater

Day or night. A few minutes or a few hours. Alone or with a group. It's up to you.
This year, Crisis Pregnancy Center of Tidewater is setting aside 24 hours for prayer. Join when you can and stay as long as you feel led. Invite others and help spread the word.

Life is precious, but under attack. We need to join forces in prayer. It's time to push darkness to the foot of the cross.

August Prayer Focus

Pray for our nurses on staff.
PLEASE PRAY   CPC humbly requests your intentional prayer for:

NURSES   Pray for our nurses on staff – Shannon, Sandra, Lisa and Jessica. These women have the opportunity to share LIFE with our clients through ultrasound appointments, but they also see babies who will never live to take their first breath outside of the womb. God, please lift these painful burdens and keep their hearts soft.

ATTACKS ON OUR MINISTRY   Groups like NARAL Pro-Choice America are actively trying to harm the ministry of CPC. Pray for our Heavenly Father to surround CPC with a mighty hedge of protection as we continue sharing His truth in love.

PRAY FOR CPC’S EXPECTANT MOTHERS AND THEIR LITTLE ONES.   Their names* and due dates are listed below.

Announcement!

Dear Friends,

I am excited to announce that New York Times best-selling author and cultural commentator, Eric Metaxas, will join us as the keynote speaker at CPC’s Annual Benefit Banquet on November 5th, 2013.
One of my favorite Metaxas books is Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy.  This definitive biography on Deitrich Bonhoeffer is very popular and has personally challenged and inspired me.
You can hear Eric almost every day on the radio or online as the co-host of BreakPoint founded by Chuck Colson.  Eric shared a remarkable message with those attending the National Day of Prayer Breakfast in 2012.  Also, Eric is a speaker in great demand across the globe, which is all the more reason I’m grateful he accepted our invitation to this year’s banquet.
The Annual Benefit Banquet is the largest and most crucial fundraiser for CPC, a ministry committed to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ in both word and deed with women and families unprepared for pregnancy and helping save the precious lives of pre-born children in South Hampton Roads. As CPC continues to reach a record number of women and witness a record number of lives being saved, the needs of the ministry grow greater. To put it simply, we can’t do this without you!
It is our prayer to have 100% of the expenses for the banquet covered by the faithful friends who love and believe in this ministry. This goal will enable 100% of the donations received the night of the event to directly benefit the life-saving ministry of Crisis Pregnancy Center of Tidewater. Our goal is to have 100% of the banquet expenses underwritten by September 1st.
Will you help us reach this goal?
Would you prayerfully consider donating to help cover the expenses of this year’s banquet? Your underwriting investment multiplies into an even larger blessing when our banquet guests are able to contribute directly to the mission and ministry of the CPC. Please visit www.cpcfriends.org/banquet to help us reach this goal!
Thank you for your love and support of CPC, and for prayerfully considering this event and this request. If you have any questions, please call 757.410.9703 to speak with a member of our Development Team.
For LIFE with you,

Toby DeBause

July Prayer Focus

Center Managers
PLEASE PRAY   CPC humbly requests your intentional prayer for:

CENTER MANAGERS   Please pray for our center managers – Brandie, Karen, Lisa and Tammy. As they manage volunteers and council women in crisis, pray they would rely on our Lord, Jesus Christ, to guide their every word and leave their burdens at the foot of His cross.

MARRIAGE   In our centers and clinics, we are seeing an increase in married couples seeking abortion. Please pray for each mother and father to be affirmed in the role they’ve been given and to persevere in that role. May God build up the foundation of these marriages so abortion is no longer a consideration.

"Welcome To Your Beautiful Journey"

Jenny "The Jewel" Jenson and CPC President Toby DeBause
Jenny “The Jewel” Jenson holds a special place in our heart. We’ve been honored to share about this remarkable woman and her amazing parents who chose LIFE for their daughter after receiving a prenatal diagnosis of Down syndrome.

Lauren is another mom who recently shared her feelings about her daughter, Kate, and their journey with Down syndrome.

“Because of her life, I have the unique perspective of seeing the best in the human spirit — and not just in her spirit (though she’s quite spirited!) but in everyone else.

In a world where it’s easy to view strangers through skeptic eyes, I have seen an outpouring of love and compassion surrounding her. I have connected to those I wouldn’t have otherwise. I have had strangers stop me on the street — just to tell me how beautiful she is. The world can seem like a scary place for any child, especially those with a disability. But I have met so many who just want to love her.”

The numbers are in!

CPC's Walk for Life 2013 Results - www.cpcfriends.org/results
Thank you so much for the excitement and energy that you brought to the Walk for Life events just a few weeks ago. Throughout the entire Walk season, we felt God's hand moving all over Hampton Roads as people were fundraising and getting others involved in the Walk for Life. Thank you for all you've done - we are so grateful you chose to join us and we appreciate your faithful support for the Walk for Life! God was honored, LIFE was lifted up and ministry funds were raised.

The funds raised in the Walk for Life help provide valuable services and resources needed to show the love of Christ to women and families. To date, a total of 785 fundraising walkers joined together to raise more than $196,000 in pledges and donations. This support enables the Lord's work to continue as we seek to impact more lives in 2013!
