February Prayer Focus

PRAY FOR CPC’S EXPECTANT MOTHERS AND THEIR LITTLE ONES.
PLEASE PRAY   CPC humbly requests your intentional prayer for:

CALL CENTER   Last year, our helpline staff and volunteers answered more than 3,500 calls from women and men in the midst of crisis. Please pray for the Lord’s presence to blanket every call, providing the staff and volunteers with confidence to place their words in the Lord’s hands and surrender the brokenness they hear to the foot of the cross.

CLARITY   As clients face obstacles pushing them towards abortion, please pray for God to reveal a new, clear path to them – a path of LIFE for their pre-born child. May they embrace the truth of Psalm 37:23 – “The steps of a man are established by the Lord, when he delights in his way.”

REJUVENATION   Abortion has been decriminalized in this country for 41 years. Pray for all those who give a voice to the voiceless, to press in to our Heavenly Father when they are weary and rely on Him to fill them with renewed passion for His work.

January Prayer Focus

Crisis Pregnancy Center of Tidewater humbly requests your intentional prayer.
PLEASE PRAY   CPC humbly requests your intentional prayer for:

SANCTITY OF HUMAN LIFE   As we come to this month set aside to celebrate the sanctity of human life, please pray for all people to open their eyes to recognize and value the image of God around them (Genesis 1:26-27).

John Piper exegetes, “We are told what really matters: even as sinners we bear God’s image.”

In a community where most recent numbers show that 6,980 pre-born children lost their lives to abortion in just one year, we also pray for Christ-followers to boldly claim their role as a voice for pre-born children – truly the least of “the least of these” (Matthew 25:40).

PRAY FOR CPC’S EXPECTANT MOTHERS AND THEIR LITTLE ONES.   Their names* and due dates are listed below.

December Prayer Focus

PLEASE PRAY   CPC humbly requests your intentional prayer for:

CASTING OUT FEAR   When women visit our medical clinics and resource centers, they are often gripped by fear. Fear of telling their parents about their pregnancy. Fear of providing for their children. Fear of judgment. Fear of the future.

God’s word repeatedly tells us not to fear. Just as the angel told Mary not to be afraid (Luke 2:10), the ministry of CPC provides a similar message of peace and love to moms and dads in the midst of an unplanned pregnancy.

Please pray for the men and women visiting our clinics and centers to fully realize God’s perfect love that casts out fear (1 John 4:18). May His love reveal a clear path to avoid the pain and destruction of ending innocent lives through abortion.

PRAY FOR CPC’S EXPECTANT MOTHERS AND THEIR LITTLE ONES.   Their names* and due dates are listed below.

November Prayer Focus

Pray for CPC's expectant mothers and their little ones.
PLEASE PRAY   CPC humbly requests your intentional prayer for:

ELECTED OFFICIALS   As newly elected officials prepare to take office, pray that strong, life-affirming leadership be present in all levels of government. We boldly petition our Heavenly Father to touch the hearts of all political leaders with sensitivity for “the least of the least of these” (Matthew 25) and pregnancy center ministries.

NEW AREAS OF OUTREACH   God is taking this ministry into new areas of outreach – we are excited to see His movement! Please pray for creativity, resources and the Lord’s favor as we venture into new ways to reach women and families in the midst of an unplanned pregnancy.

Salt & Light

Salt & Light
By Pastor Jimmy Bennett,
Avalon Church of Christ

Jesus called upon His disciples to be both the salt of the earth and the light of the world. We live in a culture of death that desperately needs the influencing power and preserving taste that comes from life – the life of Jesus Christ. If that influence and power does not come from the Lord’s church, then the valid question is ‘From whence will it come?’ The church is a sleeping giant until her people begin to arouse themselves and give as faithful stewards of all that God has entrusted to our keeping. Because of the influence that CPC has to save the lives of babies and direct the lives of new parents toward Christ, churches should be more than willing to support them!

I am a LIFEkeeper!

Alexis is a LIFEkeeper - join her!

To keep abortion down, we have to keep lifting up LIFE!

Last year alone, 592 precious babies took their first breath because of God’s work in the hearts of mothers who were helped through CPC’s medical clinics and resource centers. And those are just the ones we know about – there are more!

There is a critical need, and we need your help to meet it.

CPC receives no government funding. This ministry depends on God moving in the hearts of His people. LIFEkeepers are dedicated to the future of the ministry of CPC by giving a monthly financial gift of $50 or more. Will you become one of the 294 new LIFEkeepers needed? Join with us to build foundational support to spare more lives, save more hearts and further the Gospel like never before!

As of 8/21/2013, 106 new LIFEkeepers have committed to give each month. An additional 294 LIFEkeepers giving a monthly gift of $50 or more are still needed. Will you lift up LIFE? Donate online at http://iamalifekeeper.org.

Youth In Action

Girl Scout Troop #5455
Jicelle-Rae Sandan asked for donations for CPC instead of gifts for her 16th birthday party.

Ashlyn Moore made wallets out of duct tape and sold them to raise money to purchase baby items for The Keim Center of Suffolk.

Girl Scout Troop #5455 (pictured) collected funds for CPC and joined the admin team to process their donation and learn more about LIFE!

Abundant Giving

Thank you for giving abundantly to CPC of Tidewater!
“The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty...”

Deuteronomy 28:12a

We were blown away by generous donations of new baby items to bless our clients! Special thanks to:

Avalon Church of Christ*
Love Center Family Church
Southside Baptist Church
Towne Bank stockholders
Wave Church

*One local business decided to put their new trailer to an unconventional use. Before using it in the workplace, they painted it with CPC’s name and asked their church, Avalon Church of Christ, to help fill it with donations of baby supplies.

Pastor Jimmy Bennett replied, “We’ve heard of ‘putting our money where our mouth is.’ We’ve decided Avalon wants to ‘put our mouth where our money is.’
