Forgiven and Set Free

“At first glance, my life looked perfect,” shared Chandra Mennefee, CPC’s Special Projects Manager. “I was a successful engineer. I was the proud mother of a son who was excelling in school. I was actively involved in my church, leading worship, teaching Sunday School and volunteering in the community.”

“On the inside I was far from perfect. I was physically ill which caused me to frequently miss work. I was depressed and sometimes had suicidal thoughts. Doctors were unable to diagnose my sickness because it seemed so random.”

“Fast forward fifteen years. As I was sitting in an abortion recovery class, the Holy Spirit revealed that my sickness, depression and crying were all associated with my abortion. At the end of class, the facilitator asked if the Lord had spoken to me and I shared. I repented. We prayed. I had been ill for 25 years, however since that day, I have been free – physically, emotionally and spiritually.”

“I am excited to be part of the CPC team as the Abortion Recovery Ministry Coordinator because I believe every post-abortive woman or man’s life will be changed through the class.”
